WhistlePig PiggyBack is a straight rye whiskey from WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, Vermont, aged for 6 years. It is made from a mash of 100% rye and bottled at 48.28% ABV (96.56 proof) in a 750ml bottle.
The nose opens with fresh cinnamon and ground black pepper, with hints of citrus and grapefruit zest. On the palate there is powerful spice with cocoa, cardamom and treated leather. The finish is intense and lingering, with vanilla, citrus and baking spice.
