Boss Hog II, subtitled Spirit of Mortimer, is the second edition in WhistlePig's Boss Hog series. It is a single barrel Vermont straight rye, bottled at barrel strength, uncut and unfiltered, in a 750ml bottle.
The name honours Mortimer, a pig from WhistlePig Farm in Shoreham, Vermont, which Raj Bhakta established in 2007 on a 500-acre farm. The farm's pigs became part of the brand's identity.
The rye shows its characteristic spice and dried fruit, with caramel on the palate and a long, spice-led finish.
