Wild Turkey 81 Proof is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 40.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It was created under the guidance of Master Distiller Jimmy Russell.
The bourbon is made from a high-rye mash bill and aged in deeply charred American oak barrels, Char No. 4. It was developed with Eddie Russell as a tribute to his father Jimmy Russell's bourbon style.
The nose has caramel, vanilla and honey with subtle oak and baking spice. The palate is smooth and sweet, with toffee, warm spice, toasted oak and a touch of citrus. The finish is medium in length, warm and slightly spicy.
