Wild Turkey – Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey 2015 (75cl, 50.5%)

A single barrel bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled in 2015 at 50.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, was built in 1935 by the Ripy Brothers and was then known as Boulevard. The Wild Turkey name dates from around 1941, after whiskey shared on a hunting trip was called some of that wild turkey whiskey. Austin Nicholls bought the distillery in 1972, together with the contract of master distiller Jimmy Russell, who began work there in 1954. A new distillery was built on the same site in 2011.
