Wild Turkey – Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon Whiskey 2016 (75cl, 50.5%)

A single barrel bourbon from Wild Turkey, bottled in 2016 at 50.5% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Wild Turkey's distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, was built in 1935 by the Ripy Brothers under the name Boulevard. The brand name came around 1941, when whiskey shared on a hunting trip was referred to as some of that wild turkey whiskey. Austin Nicholls bought the distillery in 1972 and renamed it. The purchase included master distiller Jimmy Russell, who started there in 1954 and was succeeded by his son in 2015. A new distillery replaced the original plant in 2011.
