This is Russell's Reserve 6 Year Old straight rye whiskey from Wild Turkey, bottled at 45%. The mashbill is 51% rye, 37% corn and 12% malted barley.
It is described as a soft, drier style of rye, with succulent, acidic flavours balanced by plenty of vanilla. Tasting notes pick out olives rolled in light brown sugar, almond cake, allspice and a little hay, with no cinnamon.
