Willett 4 Year Old is a straight rye whiskey, bottled at 54.4% in a 750ml bottle. It is deep amber in colour, with a full body and a weighty mouthfeel.
The nose layers brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry, and opens with time to cinnamon, baking spices, creamy vanilla and a hint of oak. The palate is robust, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and plenty of spice, plus the peppery notes of classic rye and sweet, bourbon-like accents.
The finish is long and velvety, with the spices dominant and the cherry pushing through.
