A 4 year old cask strength Kentucky straight bourbon from Willett Family Estate, in a 75cl bottle at 61.8% ABV. It combines two Willett mash bills: around 70% from a mix of 72% corn, 13% rye and 15% malted barley, and the rest from 52% corn, 38% rye and 10% malted barley.
Both go into the barrel at 125 proof, and the bottling strength is set batch by batch by master distiller Drew Kulsveen.
The nose opens with clove and cinnamon syrup, rye bread and lemon candy. The palate is maple, baked apple, caramel, chocolate and vanilla frosting, and the finish keeps cinnamon in front with cocoa, allspice and nutmeg.
