Willett Family Estate Single Barrel 7 Year Old is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey, bottled at cask strength, 56.9%, in a 750ml bottle. It was aged in hand-selected white oak barrels and bottled by hand from barrel 4029, as bottle 78 of 149.
The nose layers brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry, opening to cinnamon, baking spices and a little oak. The palate is robust, with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and spice, and a weighty mouthfeel. The finish is long and led by spice, with the cherry pushing through.
