This Willett Family Estate release is a 4 year old straight rye whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 55.4% abv (110.8 proof). It is a single barrel bottling, put together from barrels in a small batch. The nose shows brandied cherry over a mildly tart cherry, opening with time to cinnamon and baking spices and a hint of oak. The palate is robust rye with dark cherry, burnt vanilla and spice, and a weighty mouthfeel. The finish is long, led by spice, with the cherry pushing through.
