A 7-year-old Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Willett Distillery in Bardstown, bottled from single barrel #2342 at natural barrel proof, 55.2% ABV (110.4 proof).
The rye was distilled at Willett's own distillery, run by the Kulsveen family, which returned to distilling in 2012. It is bright amber in colour.
The nose has fresh rye grain spice, dried fruit and vanilla, with oak beginning to emerge. The palate is assertive and grain-forward. The finish is medium to long, with rye spice and warm grain.
