Wolfburn – 10 Year Old (70cl)

This is a 10-year-old Wolfburn single malt, in a 70cl bottle. It was the first age-stated expression in the distillery's core range, and it is matured entirely in second-fill Oloroso sherry casks. Wolfburn stands near Thurso and is the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. It lies a short distance from the remains of an older Wolfburn distillery founded in 1821, and the first spirit ran from the new stills in January 2013. The palate is rich, with chocolate, dark fruit, vanilla caramel and nutmeg, and a faint touch of oak smoke.
