Wolfburn – 12 Years

Wolfburn 12 Years is a single malt from the Wolfburn distillery in Thurso, the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland. It is the flagship of the Wolfburn range. The whisky is made from equal parts of spirit matured in hand-selected second-fill Oloroso sherry casks and in ex-bourbon casks, and it spends twelve years in the warehouses. The nose is sweet and floral, with a subtle trace of peat smoke. Honey and burnt sugar meet gentle spice on the palate, with sherry sweetness throughout. The finish is long, with dried fruit and caramel.
