Wolfburn Batch No.155 is a limited release single malt from the distillery in Thurso, on the northern edge of the Scottish mainland. It is bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and of natural colour.
The spirit is unpeated and finished in port casks. This is the first Wolfburn batch to use port casks as the main finish rather than a minor influence.
The nose offers ripe berries, warm honey and gentle coastal smoke. The palate is velvety, with raspberry compote, vanilla cream, nutmeg and a touch of leather. The finish is long, with red fruit, drying oak and a little peat.
