Wolfburn – Morven (70cl)

A single malt from Wolfburn, the distillery near Thurso in Caithness, in a 70cl bottle. Morven is the third regular edition from the distillery and the first made from peated malt, dried to a phenol level of 10 ppm. The smoke is light but clearly present. It is named after the highest mountain in Caithness. Like every Wolfburn bottling, it is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. Wolfburn is the most northerly distillery on the Scottish mainland, and its first spirit ran in January 2013.
