Wolfburn Northland is a three-year-old single malt from the Wolfburn distillery, first released in March 2016. The distillery is the northernmost on the Scottish mainland.
It matured in former bourbon casks, is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Bright golden yellow in the glass, it has a clean nose of apple, quince and lychee, with malty, lightly nutty tones and a hint of peat smoke. The palate is spicy and nutty, with smoke growing stronger while leaving room for fruit. The finish is medium in length and spicy.
