Wolfburn – Northland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl)

Wolfburn Northland is a Scotch single malt matured in American oak quarter casks and bottled on site at the distillery. It was the first single malt released by Wolfburn, in March 2016, when the distillery was Scotland's northernmost on the mainland. It won a gold medal in the no age statement single malt category at the 2016 Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit Competition. The nose is sweet, with fruit and fresh sea air, citrus and cereal behind, and a trace of peat smoke. On the palate sweet, nutty tones come first, with grape and honey, floral flavours and a hint of coffee and dark chocolate. It coats the palate and leaves a trace of peat.
