Woodford Reserve – Cherry Wood Smoked Barley (70cl, 45.2%)

A Woodford Reserve bourbon in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 45.2% ABV. It is the twelfth release in the Master's Selection Series. The mash bill uses a high proportion of malted barley, around 30% and well above the level in most bourbons, and the barley is smoked over cherry wood. The nose brings spice, nuttiness and burnt sugar. The palate is rich and dessert-like, with toffee apple and cherry pie, and the finish combines smoked nuts, cherry fruit drops and toffee fudge.
