Woodford Reserve – Double Oaked Bourbon (70cl, 43.2%)

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 43.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The bourbon is matured twice, the second time in a heavily toasted barrel, which gives a full-bodied whisky with a long finish. Bourbon has been made on the distillery's site since 1812, and the site is now a U.S. National Historic Landmark. The colour is deep amber. The nose brings dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate mixes vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, fruit and spices, and the finish is long and creamy, with lingering honeyed apple.
