Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky straight bourbon distilled in pot stills and bottled at 43.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It begins as Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Bourbon, matured in new barrels of handmade white oak. It is then moved into a second new barrel, heavily toasted, for further maturation.
The nose shows dark fruit, caramel, honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. The palate is full, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple, other fruit and spice. The finish is long and creamy, with honeyed apple and oak.
