Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a Kentucky-style bourbon bottled at 43.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is matured twice, in two separate charred oak barrels.
The second barrel is deeply toasted before a light charring, which draws out extra soft, sweet oak character. The colour is a deep amber.
The nose brings dark fruit, caramel, sharp honey, chocolate, marzipan and toasted oak. On the palate it is full-bodied, with vanilla, dark caramel, hazelnut, apple and spice. The finish is long and creamy, with a lingering note of honeyed apple.
