Woodford Reserve – Double Oaked

Woodford Reserve Double Oaked is a bourbon matured in two separate oak casks. It begins as the classic Woodford Reserve, then moves to a second cask that is more heavily toasted and more lightly charred, which strengthens the toasted oak and vanilla character. The second maturation brings out darker caramel and a soft mix of spices. The tasting notes describe vanilla, apple and subtle spice, followed by roasted hazelnut.
