Woodford Reserve – Kentucky Straight Bourbon Father's Day Edition (70cl, 40%)

Woodford Reserve Father's Day Edition is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is made in small batches at a distillery site where fine bourbon was first made in 1812, now a National Historic Landmark. The bourbon is described as having more than 200 detectable flavour notes, from grain and wood to sweet aromatics, spice, fruit and floral tones. On the nose come rich dried fruit, mint and oranges dusted with cocoa, with faint vanilla and tobacco spice. The palate is rich, chewy and rounded, with citrus, cinnamon, cocoa, toffee, caramel and chocolate. The finish is silky and almost creamy at first, ending long and warm.
