Woodford Reserve – Kentucky Straight Rye Christmas Edition (70cl, 45.2%)

A Christmas Edition of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey, in a 70cl bottle at 45.2% ABV. The bottle is engraved with 'Merry Christmas & Happy New Year'. The mash bill contains 53 percent rye, which gives the whiskey pronounced spice with a hint of fruit. It is made in the traditional Kentucky rye style, and the grain is the first of the Five Sources Woodford Reserve uses to shape its flavour. It is rich honey in colour. The nose is spicy, with rye, black pepper, cedar and cassia bark, sweetened by a dusting of marzipan, with hints of pear, apple and almond. On the palate come clove, rye, mint, molasses, sorghum and honey, with apple and malt. The finish is long and sweetly spiced.
