Woodinville Bourbon Finished with Toasted Applewood Staves is a straight bourbon from Washington State, bottled at 50% ABV. The mash bill is 72% corn, 22% rye and 6% malted barley.
After full maturation as straight bourbon, toasted applewood staves are added for a finish that brings orchard fruit and gentle toast to the caramel, cocoa, vanilla and oak.
Baked apple and red berry lead the nose, followed by vanilla bean, toasted oak and a little dark chocolate. The palate is satin-textured, with caramel, vanilla, apple skin and a soft rye spice. The finish is sweet and lingering, with caramel, cocoa, vanilla and a last echo of apple and toast.
