A single cask Aberlour, 12 years old, bottled by Woodrow's of Edinburgh at a cask strength of 55.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Only 219 bottles were filled.
The whisky was distilled on 10 October 2011, matured in a refill bourbon barrel and bottled on 8 July 2024. It is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose is sweet, with toffee apple, vanilla custard, nutmeg and white chocolate. The palate is fairly creamy, with citrus zest, Grenache apple, honey, shortbread and cinnamon. The finish is moderately spiced with white pepper and star anise, over caramelised pear, hazelnut and vanilla.
