Woven Whisky Experience N.12 Echoes (50cl, 47.3%)

Echoes is a blended Scotch from Woven Whisky Makers, bottled at 47.3% in a 50cl bottle without chill-filtering or added colour. The blend began with a Tullabardine from a former Burgundy wine cask, joined by Loch Lomond single malt, Highland grain, Girvan, Cameronbridge and a Speyside single malt. After blending, it rested for 45 days in two separate casks, an old sherry butt and a hogshead that had held peated whisky, before the two parts were reunited. The nose suggests apple pie fresh from the oven, with creamy malt sweets and a sweet touch of smoke. Fresh apple and barley sweetness lead on the palate, with smoke running through, and the finish is of medium length.
