Woven Whisky Experience N.20, Friends in the North, is a blended whisky bottled at 47% in a 70cl bottle, without chill-filtration or added colour. Woven composed it on 20 August 2024 and let it marry for 15 days in an inert vessel. The release is 2,035 bottles.
The recipe pairs Nordic whiskies with Scottish single grain: alder-smoked Kyrö rye from Finland, unpeated High Coast malt, two Agitator malts from Sweden, and Feddie Ocean from Norway. North British single grain makes up 34.29% of the blend.
The nose offers seaweed, sea air, lemon peel and white chocolate. On the palate come balanced smoke, citrus peel, vanilla and sea salt, and the finish is long and warming.
