Woven Whisky Hemispheres Batch 1 (70cl, 51.4%)

Hemispheres is a blended whisky from Woven, in a 70cl bottle. It combines 26% Manuka-smoked single malt from Thomson Whisky near Auckland with 74% single grain from the North British Distillery in Edinburgh. The malt brings herbal smoke, while the grain adds body and softness. Batch 1 was composed on 28 July 2023 and the two whiskies were then left to marry for 80 days. The batch is 2,100 bottles at 51.4%, non-chill-filtered and with no added colour. The nose combines gentle Manuka smoke and herbs with citrus peel and grain. The palate is oily, with orange, clove, honey and malt, and a nutty note in the middle. The finish is long, soft and round, with herbs and light smoke.
