Wyoming Whiskey Bourbon (75cl, 44%)

A wheated small-batch bourbon from Wyoming Whiskey, bottled at 44% in a 75cl bottle. It is distilled, aged and bottled at the distillery in Kirby, in the Big Horn Basin, from a mashbill of 68% corn, 20% wheat and 12% malted barley. The state's wide temperature swings shape the maturation. Warehouse conditions run to extremes over roughly five years, which pushes the spirit deep into the oak and brings pronounced wood and spice character. The nose offers caramel, vanilla, brown sugar and honey, with citrus zest and toasted oak. On the palate come cornbread, vanilla cream, dried fruit and green apple, with clove and oak spice. The finish is medium, with caramel and wood spice.
