Yamazaki 18 Year Old is a Japanese single malt from Suntory's Yamazaki Distillery, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was built in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii and Masataka Taketsuru, and the label calls it the oldest distillery in Japan. This 18 year old was first launched in Japan in 1992.
It is believed to be around 80% sherry cask matured, with the remainder a mix of refill and Mizunara oak casks.
It is known for its velvety texture and rich, aromatic aromas and flavours.
