Yamazaki 18 Year Old is a Japanese whisky from the Suntory distillery, which sits between Kyoto and Osaka. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 43% abv.
The whisky was matured for at least eighteen years in American oak, sherry casks and mizunara oak casks.
The nose offers candied red fruit, raisins, dark chocolate and sandalwood. The palate is rich and silky, with cherry, blackberry jam, cocoa and spice. The finish is long, with chocolate, incense and delicate wood.
