This is the 2024 edition of Yamazaki 18 Years Old Mizunara, a Japanese whisky from the Yamazaki Distillery. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 48% ABV and has a reddish amber colour.
The nose is rich and elegant, with dark cherry and ripe peach alongside cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate there is candied orange peel, lightly spiced, with hints of Japanese incense. The finish is long and lingering, marked by clove, sandalwood and a touch of dried coconut.
