An 18-year-old Yamazaki from Suntory, bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It was matured in sherry, bourbon and Mizunara casks. Yamazaki is the oldest distillery in Japan, and Shinjiro Torii founded it in 1923. The nose combines sherry, vanilla and dried cherries with dried herbs, fruit cake, a little rose oil, a hint of mint and spicy wood. The palate has juicy blood orange with a slight sharpness, light and dark fruit, caramel, dark chocolate, cinnamon, leather and tobacco. The finish is medium to long, sweet, spicy and warming, with orange, pepper and a light dryness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
