A 25-year-old Japanese single malt from Yamazaki, bottled by the distillery at 43% in a 70cl bottle. Yamazaki 25 Year Old won Best Single Malt Whisky at the World Whisky Awards in 2012.
This is the earlier, fully sherry-matured style. More recent bottlings have added ex-bourbon and Mizunara oak casks to the blend.
It is rich and intensely flavoured, with a luscious texture.
