This is a 25 year old single malt from Yamazaki, bottled in 2025 at 48% in a 70cl bottle. It was aged in Mizunara, a Japanese oak known for being a challenging wood to work with, and the Mizunara influence is the focus of the release.
Yamazaki was founded in 1923 by Shinjiro Torii near Kyoto, at the confluence of three rivers. It is Japan's first and oldest malt whisky distillery.
