Suntory Yamazaki 12 Year Old is a single malt from Yamazaki, Japan's first and oldest malt distillery, and the flagship of Suntory. It first reached the market in 1984 and was the first Japanese single malt to be seriously marketed.
The nose combines nut oils and zest with a floral character, a little tropical fruit and a rooty note. The palate is smooth and soft, with sweetness and winter spice, then citrus, more tropical fruit and a touch of rum. The finish is medium, with fruit and zest.
