Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve is a Japanese single malt from the Yamazaki distillery, which Shinjiro Torii founded in 1923 as the first malt whisky distillery in Japan. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky brings together carefully chosen components matured in American oak, Spanish oak and Japanese Mizunara oak.
The nose shows strawberry and cherry with spicy Mizunara oak. On the palate come raspberry and white peach with a hint of coconut. The finish is clear and lasting, with sweet vanilla and a touch of cinnamon.
