Yamazaki – Limited Edition 2022 (70cl, 43%)

This is the 2022 Yamazaki Limited Edition, a Japanese whisky bottled at 43% ABV in a 70cl bottle. Yamazaki issued the Limited Edition releases yearly between 2014 and 2017, then resumed the series in 2021 with a new vintage bottling. The whisky was matured in Mizunara wood, which gives a creamy, aromatic character with a fruity profile and a distinctive range of spices. It is amber in colour. The nose offers orange, pineapple and nutmeg, followed by blueberries, coconut cream and honey on the palate. The finish brings vanilla, ginger and a hint of smoke.
