Yamazaki – Limited Edition 2023 (70cl, 43%)

Yamazaki Limited Edition 2023 is a single malt Japanese whisky from the Yamazaki distillery, owned by Suntory, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It blends Yamazaki single malts aged for at least 12 years in virgin Mizunara oak casks, which add richness, a touch of sweetness and hints of fruit and spice. The label is textured Japanese paper made to resemble torafu wood grain, and the box shows the distillery's maturing warehouses. The nose has pineapple, orange and nutmeg, then creamy coconut and subtle florals. The palate is full-bodied and honeyed, with vanilla, ginger and blueberry. The finish moves from vanilla to ginger with a faint wisp of smoke.
