Yamazaki Story of Distillery 2024 Edition is a Japanese blended malt from Suntory's Yamazaki distillery, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. The whisky has a reddish-amber colour.
Yamazaki stands in Shimamoto, in Osaka Prefecture, and was founded in 1923 as Japan's first commercial whisky distillery.
Dried persimmon and clove lead the aromas. Orange marmalade and sweet red bean give the palate depth, with a touch of spice and plenty of sweetness, and the long aftertaste is spicy and smoky.
