This is a Japanese blended whisky from Yamazakura, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is produced at the Sasanokawa Shuzo Distillery, run by one of the oldest sake producers in Japan.
The nose is fresh, with young spirit character and notes of pear, honey, lemongrass, grain and apple. The palate starts sweet, then turns peppery, with spice, minerality, apricot and vanilla. The finish is fairly short, with grain and pepper to the fore.
