This is Yamazakura Blended, a Japanese whisky from the Sasanokawa Shuzo Distillery, whose history goes back to 1765. It comes in a 70cl bottle, in a case. Malt and grain whiskies are combined and matured in barrels of different woods. The nose offers cherry blossom and ripe fruit with sweet vanilla and a light touch of eastern spice. The palate is velvety, with honey, white chocolate and a pinch of pepper. The finish is lasting and slightly smoky.
