Yellow Rose Harris County is a Texas straight bourbon, distilled and bottled by Yellow Rose Distilling in Houston at 46% ABV. It is named after the county Houston sits in and was launched in July 2021.
The mash bill is 65% yellow corn, 25% Elbon rye and 10% San Jacinto malted barley, all grown in Texas. It is double pot-distilled in copper stills, aged for 30 months in new charred American oak and left non-chill filtered.
The tasting notes give brown sugar, cherry, fruit-wood smoke, toasted pecan and tobacco on the nose. The palate offers brown sugar, cinnamon, allspice, warm pecan pie, toasted coconut and black tea. The finish is moderately long, with a pop of cinnamon candy.
