Yellow Rose is a blended American whiskey from Yellow Rose Distilling in Houston, Texas, bottled at 40% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The blend is built from a mashbill of corn, rye and barley, double-distilled in copper pot stills. It contains no neutral grain spirit: every part of it is whiskey, some distilled at the distillery and some sourced.
The nose is light and fruity, with ripe banana, sweet apple, caramel, vanilla and a little lemon curd. The palate is sweet, with banana, caramel, toffee and vanilla, and a thread of rye spice. The finish is medium, with baked fruit, oak spice and toffee.
