Yoichi Distillery Limited Blended Whisky is a Japanese blend from Nikka in a 50cl bottle. It combines malt whisky made solely at the Yoichi distillery in Hokkaido with grain whisky, and is bottled at 40%. The distillery's cold coastal climate is associated with briny notes, and its direct coal-fired pot stills with bold, toasty character. The nose is citrus peel, melon and vanilla custard, with a touch of smoke and brine. The palate is smooth and creamy, with honey, orchard fruits, toasted malt and gentle smoke. The finish is medium in length, with toasted malt, smoke and a little brine.
