1845 Preemption Reverenz is a four grain bourbon from 1845 Distilling Co. in Texas, aged for 48 months and bottled at 57%. The mash bill is 64% corn, 12% rye, 12% wheat and 12% barley. The nose offers vanilla pods, oak over a Texas wildflower meadow and buttered corn. On the palate are dark red berries with wild honey, black tea, chocolate and creme brulee. The finish is lasting, with rounded oak.
