A peated single malt from Westland, the distillery in Seattle, Washington, bottled at 46% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in American oak.
Westland was founded in January 2010 and makes every one of its single malts from 100% malted barley. The spirit is distilled to no more than 80% ABV, and only casks of up to 700 litres are used for maturation.
The distillery chose American single malt over bourbon, and it set up the American Single Malt Whiskey commission, which now counts 110 distilleries among its members.
