An Antique 12 Year Old Extra Special blended Scotch whisky at 43% ABV, produced by Macleay Duff (Distillers) Ltd.
The Macleay Duff firm was later absorbed into larger blending houses, which gives this older bottling some historical interest.
Tasting notes describe orchard fruit, light sherry and vanilla fudge on the nose, with a little coal smoke. The palate is creamy and malty, with toffee, nutmeg and honeyed grain. The finish is medium to long, with pepper, dried fruit and earthy wood.
