Chivas Regal 12 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky from the 1960s, in a 26 fl oz (769 ml) bottle. The whisky is gold in colour.
The nose is meaty and bouillon-like, with mead, soot and the cellar notes of an old basement and an old wine cellar. On the palate come meaty honey, old Tokaji, glazed chestnuts, panettone, fruitcake and dried apricots, with a little halva or turron.
The finish is long and a little salty.
